BACK IN JAMUL

After a great month and a half at the Salton Sea, we are back at our winter site in Jamul. We actually departed Johnson's Landing a few days earlier than planned, but the looming weather patterns motivated us to get over the mountains before the storm. Glad we did! We were all tucked in and cozy when the storm hit. Check out the pictures of hydraulic Pio Pico.

Our health has been pretty good, Diane had some sort of itchy rash for a few days, but it's all gone now, and I managed to get my back out of whack again, but the VA is coming to the rescue.

I've been getting the Jeep all set up for towing, should be done in plenty of time for our summer trip to Tennessee. As some of you know, our typical travel pattern is, drive 6 hours, park for 2-3 weeks, see the sights, then move on another 6 hours away. It will take us months to get to Tennessee, but that's the way we like it. Hope all is well with all of you. Be patient, Spring is on the way.

Love and God Bless...........

SEASONAL CREEK

Behind our winter site at Pio Pico, is a dry creek bed (usually). Today, it is a raging creek, run off from the mountains, especially Dulzura summit.Posted by Picasa

FORMER ROAD CROSSING

The dry creek bed crosses the road in two spots at Pio Pico. This is one of them after the rain. YeeHaw! white water rapids.Posted by Picasa
